With a budget of US$80million, "Red Cliff" is the most expensive Asian-financed film to date. The movie is based on historical records of "The Chronicles of the Three Kingdom" rather than the novel, "Romance of the Three Kingdom". In the early third century, the land of Wu is invaded by the warlord Cao Cao and his soldiers. The ruler of Wu, Sun Quan (Chang Chen), calls on the rival warlord Liu Bei (You Yong) for help, but their two armies are still badly outnumbered. However, the strategists Zhou Yu (Tony Leung) and Zhuge Liang (Takeshi Kaneshiro) see that Cao Cao's army is unused to battling on the sea. With 200,000 men, Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang defeat Cao Cao's army at the Yangtze River.
jy: hahaha.. yeah finally i went to see the movie tat i wanted to see.. haha.. i miss part one last year lor... so angry lor.. haha.. but of course i did see part 1 before 1 see part 2 which is good cos no need to wait for v long ma.... hahaha...well i must see the scenary was damn nice lor.. haha.. the strategy they used was like wow.. ok... as i didn;t read the real story so i find the movie not bad.. there is some funny part in both part 1 and 2 la... hehe.. well.. of course i need to admit that.. if there us no tony leong and jin cheng wu.. haha.. then tat is a different story lor.. haha..the fighting scene was wow.. but of course war is always v sad.. the cao cao was really bad lor.... becos of his own ambition.. then so many ppl have to die becos of him... but both zhu ge liang and zhou yu was excellent lor... everything they also know.. damn COOL lor.. especially the weather lor.,..wow... really hard to decide which one to give the best support... hahahaha... and really laugh at zanxiong joke lor.. haha.. he is say.. lucky there is only one female to choose from which is the lin chi lin... haha.. ok he just didn;t consider zhao wei as one... haha.. so bad lor... haha...
i know alot of ppl feel the movie not v nice due to some of the lame part and then they compare to the real story line.. well.. seriously if wan to complete or really get those CHINA ppl ( ppl tat u dunno) to act the whole story.. it will be really too dragging liao lor.. but in conclusion.. i really like the movie... hahaha.. so ppl please go and Watch.. really worth watching lor... alot better than alot of movie le lor...hahaha.. at least this one got scenary and visual effect.. haha...
